John Green’s best seller conveys a theme of searching for identity: Paper Towns has characters whom are teenagers and most teens do not have a full idea about their identity therefore, they are searching for themselves. Paper Towns is also capturing since the book starts with a tragedy about a man who committed suicide. Q, the main character, is relatable to almost anyone reader as most people experience similar feelings as he did during a time in the story when he is rejected by Margo, a neighbor, and a girl who he had a crush on. I selected this novel because it contained relatable characters and seemed to be highly capturing. Over the summer, I chose the well-known book, Paper Towns, written by a highly acclaimed author, John Green.
